I am blown away visually every day - by the talent of others, by architecture, by the curve of something caught out of the corner of my eye, by old wood and forgotten industry. If I capture and share even the vaguest echo of my delight, I have achieved what I set out to accomplish.
The still photograph is to moving pictures what poetry is to prose - less comprehensive perhaps, less literal even, yet somehow capable of expressing a deeper truth.
